Además, entre los alumnos identificaron el caso extremo de un estudiante que sentía la necesidad de estar conectado a Facebook durante 21 horas al día, bloqueando la entrada de nuevas publicaciones solamente entre las dos y cinco de la mañana para dormir un poco.

Algunos de los participantes admitieron que durante el experimento se sentían menos estresados al no contar con la posibilidad de leer constantemente los estados de sus amigos en Facebook y ver que disponían de más tiempo para hacer otras cosas. Otros alumnos se vieron a sí mismos más dispuestos a encontrarse en persona con otros estudiantes o profesores con los que normalmente sólo se comunicaban a través de los medios sociales.
