Los “microblogs” se están convirtiendo en una importante fuente a la que acuden los internautas chinos para obtener información y noticias.

Según una encuesta realizada por el oficial “China Youth Daily”, un diario dirigido a los jóvenes, los “microblogs”, como Twitter -a pesar de estar oficialmente censurado por el régimen comunista- y otros servidores, se han convertido en una popular manera para recibir las últimas noticias e informaciones.

La encuesta se realizó a 3.282 personas de 30 provincias distintas del país y reveló que el 73,5 por ciento de los participantes usan “microblogs” para recibir actualizaciones en la información.

El 73,7 por ciento de los encuestados considera a los “microblogs” como una importante fuente de noticias porque la información que circula en estas redes se distribuye mucho más rápido y logra mayor difusión.

En este sentido, cita el caso de Ding Jie, empleada en una firma comercial, abrió su propio “microblog” hace un mes, “ahora no tengo que ir a las páginas de los periódicos porque todo lo puedo obtener desde otras bitácoras”, dijo.

La encuesta también informa que el 56,5 por ciento de los encuestados confía en la información que circula en estas páginas, por sólo 20,3 por ciento de respuestas que no confían en la información que por allí circula.

Para Kuang Wenbo, profesor en la escuela de periodismo de la Universidad de Renmin, “los microblogs son medios de base en donde cualquiera puede publicar información, lo que dificulta la veracidad de la noticia”, informó la agencia.

Los “microblogs” son anotaciones muy breves, con caracteres limitados a menos de 200, que permiten informar sobre lo que una persona está haciendo sin tener que escribir todo una entrada de un “blog”.

China es el país que más internautas tiene en el mundo, superior a los 420 millones de personas, pero también es uno de los países que aplica una férrea censura en los contenidos de la red.
