Estas jornadas de “Inclusión Digital“ comenzaron a llevarse a cabo en el marco del evento Campus Party; una reunión que se lleva a cabo año con año donde se encuentran durante siete días miles de usuarios de las nuevas tecnologías de la información, para compartir sus opiniones y puntos de vista sobre los últimos avances en este campo, el evento es organizado por la compañía Telefónica Movistar.
En la Campus Party se destina una sala equipada con computadoras conectadas a Internet para realizar los Bautizos Digitales. La dinámica es muy sencilla se hace una reservación a través de la página web del evento o bien se acude directamente a la sede a registrarse, una vez ahí se debe ir al área destinada para este propósito.
Al nuevo usuario se le asigna una computadora, se sienta frente a ella y un instructor le indica de cómo utilizarla siguiendo una guía interactiva, una vez hecho eso el tiempo restante se dedica a la práctica.
En la última edición de la Campus Party en nuestro país la cual tuvo lugar en el Distrito Federal entre el 18 y 24 de Julio se realizaron más de 12,000 Bautizos Digitales.
