La nueva función se activará sólo si el usuario está conectado a su cuenta en la famosa red de microblogging. En un nuevo apartado denominado “Friends”, Google News publicará las noticias difundidas por los amigos del usuario en Twitter. Para ello, Google se servirá de una araña que buscará entre las actualizaciones de la lista de contactos del usuario.

En el apartado “Friends” aparecerán exclusivamente las noticias twitteadas por los amigos del usuario que también hayan sido listadas en Google News, según informa Techcrunch.

La colaboración entre Google y Twitter no es nueva. Desde hace aproximadamente un año, el gigante de internet integra en su motor de búsqueda los tweets de la red de microblogging.

Si bien la función para integrar Twitter en Google News está todavía en periodo de prueba, Twitter ha confirmado a Techcrunch que ésta es más que posible, pues Google tiene total acceso a su base de datos.
