La cuenta del cantante de Guns N’ Roses fue saboteada por un pirata informático, que anunció la cancelación de su gira europea.

El domingo apareció la noticia en Internet. Axl Rose anunciaba desde su Twitter que había cancelado la próxima gira por Europa de la banda.”Todas las próximas apariciones de Guns N’ Roses están oficialmente canceladas. Por favor contáctese con su vendedor para devoluciones (del dinero de las entradas)”, aseguraba el tweet.

Pero el anuncio no era más que falsa información que venía de la mano de un hacker. Ese individuo había conseguido ingresar a la cuenta de Axl en la red social y envió el mensaje. 
Los fans se sorprendieron, ya que era el primer texto que enviaba el músico en tres meses.
Los mensajes anteriores de Rose fueron publicados a través de un iPhone y éste último tweet fue desde una página web para celulares. También llamó la atención que el mensaje tenía ortografía británica.
Esta jugada resultó perjudicial para la banda, que tuvo que investigar el asunto en Gran Bretaña y Europa, y comenzar un seguimiento para dar con la PC desde donde salió el falso mensaje. La gira de 26 fechas por el Viejo Contienente comienzará en Inglaterra, con presentaciones el 27 y 29 de agosto en distintos festivales, y finalizará en el estadio olímpico de Barcelona el 23 de octubre
