Los “Twitterroristas” de Veracruz

El jueves 25 de agosto mientras se daban a conocer los pormenores del lamentable hecho ocurrido en el Casino Royal de la ciudad de Monterrey la psicosis corría como reguero de pólvora por las calles de Veracruz, ocurrieron según relata el Secretario de Gobierno de dicho estado Gerardo Buganza 26 accidentes de tráfico, se colapsaron las líneas telefónicas de los servicios de emergencia y se podía ver a gente corriendo por las calles en busca de sus seres para protegerse de supuestos ataques de miembros del crimen organizado a escuelas públicas.

El supuesto origen de esta histeria según el funcionario, no fue el clima de inseguridad que se vive en el país donde van más de 40,000 muertes relacionadas con el combate al crimen organizado que inicio en 2007, tampoco a los ajustes de cuentas que ocurren a nivel local entre los carteles de la droga que ahí operan. Buganza señala los tweets emitidos por el profesor Gilberto Martínez Vera y María de Jesús Bravo Pagola desde las cuentas @gilius_22 y @maruchibravo como los culpables del caos.

Como si fuera un capitulo moderno de la radionovela “La Guerra de los mundos” de Orson Welles, Martínez Vera de profesión Maestro y Bravo Pagola Periodista y ex Directora de Actividades Artísticas y Culturales de la Secretaría de Educación de Veracruz narraban supuestos hechos de violencia sobre como había helicópteros disparando a niños de una escuela y como en otros planteles sustraían menores.

Cabe mencionar que en algunos casos replicaban información generada por otros usuarios e incluso María de Jesús cuestionaba a otros miembros de la comunidad virtual sobre la veracidad de los hechos.

Ninguno de los dos usuarios pensó que la información que manejaban les traería consecuencias desproporcionadas entre las que destacan: accidentes de tráfico, movilización de los servicios de emergencia locales, histeria colectiva y lo más grave una acusación legal por terrorismo y sabotaje.


Según declaraciones del Secretario de Gobierno de Veracruz les tomó alrededor de cuatro horas desmentir la información que circulaba a toda velocidad por las redes sociales, inmediatamente la policía se dio a la tarea de rastrear a los usuarios de Twitter capturándolos el viernes 26 de agosto en distintos puntos de la capital jarocha.

Días después el 31 de agosto el Juez tercero de lo penal en Racho, Viejo, Veracruz, dictaba auto de formal prisión contra María de Jesús Bravo Pagola y Gilberto Martínez Vera, acusados de Sabotaje y terrorismo pudiendo purgar una pena de entre 5 y 30 años en prisión.

Actualmente Los” twiterroristas” como se les ha llamado en las redes sociales están recluidos en el penal de Racho Viejo.

¿Crimén y Castigo?

Está claro que no se pueden comparar los actos cometidos por verdaderos terroristas como por ejemplo: los responsables de incendiar el Casino Royal y lo ocurrido con este par de veracruzanos y su manejo erróneo de la información.

Aunque los hechos hablan por sí mismos es increíble que ambos estén acusados de prácticamente lo mismo, mientras los implicados en el hecho ocurrido en Monterrey actuaron materialmente y con plena consciencia de sus actos, el Profesor y la Periodista únicamente difundieron una serie de datos de manera irresponsable.

Además de lo referente a la acusación y lo desproporcionado que es su castigo aun hay algunos aspectos que aclarar en cuanto a la detención de Gilberto y María de Jesús, ya que ambos han denunciado haber sido torturados y privados de su libertad de manera ilegal por las autoridades veracruzanas.

El hecho ha trascendido nuestras fronteras debido a lo severo que resulta acusar de terrorismo a un par de individuos que utilizó de manera inadecuada la red de hecho ya se encuentran colectivos de usuarios de internet de todo el mundo mostrando su repudio a la acción como es el caso del grupo de hackers Anonymus.

Por su parte el despacho de abogados que lleva la defensa de Gilberto Martínez Vera y María de Jesús Bravo Pagola, se encuentra preparando un recurso de amparo indirecto que interpondrá anta el Poder Judicial.
