Lo más importante para los usuarios mexicanos en línea es el correo electrónico, con 57% de menciones; en tanto que las redes sociales vienen en tercer lugar, con 11%, tras la búsqueda de conocimiento, con 14%.

En promedio, cada mexicano tiene 126 amigos en línea. En contraste, cada brasileño tiene 231 y cada argentino 184. En el mismo continente, cada estadounidense tiene 178 amigos, y cada canadiense 150.

Los españoles, dice TNS, son de los menos amigueros en el mundo, ya que apenas tienen 90 amigos en promedio, en tanto que en la misma península ibérica, los portugueses son de los que más se relacionan en línea, ya que cada uno tiene 196 contactos.

En el mundo, los usuarios con mayor número de amigos en las redes sociales se encuentran en Malasia, con 233 en promedio. Mientras que los brasileños marchan en segundo. Los menos amigueros son los japoneses, con 29 en promedio.
