Los usuarios de Internet pasaron 41,1 millones de minutos navegando en el portal de Facebook, un 9,9 por ciento del total del tiempo empleado en la red durante ese mes, mientras que dedicaron 39,8 millones de minutos, o un 9,6 por ciento, en Google, incluido Gmail, YouTube y otras páginas asociadas a esa compañía.

El tercer sitio de Internet que acaparó más tiempo fue Yahoo, donde los internautas estuvieron 37,7 millones de minutos, o un 9,1 por ciento de su tiempo de uso de la web.

En agosto de 2009, los usuarios gastaron en Facebook un 5 por ciento de sus minutos en la red, un porcentaje parecido al que emplearon en usar los servicios de Google, mientras que Yahoo lideró la estadística con un 12 por ciento.
