Eden Abergil, la ex sargento del Ejército israelí que publicó en Facebook fotos humillantes para los palestinos, afirma hoy en su página de esa red social que le “encantaría matar a árabes, incluso despedazarles”
Lejos de retractarse tras el revuelo creado por la difusión de las fotos, en las que posa sonriente al lado de palestinos esposados y con los ojos vendados, Abergil asegura que “no se arrepiente” y que “en la guerra no hay reglas” , según informó la edición digital del diario israelí “Yediot Aharonot” .
“Odio a los árabes, les deseo todo lo peor”, dice la ex militar, que ha provocado críticas dentro y fuera de Israel por la frialdad e insensibilidad que muestran sus fotos.
En la red social se han creado grupos de apoyo a la joven, como el de “Todos estamos con Eden Abergil”, que cuenta con 600 miembros, así como páginas en contra, como “Vergonzosa Eden Abergil”, con más de mil 500 seguidores o el francés “Todos Unidos Contra la Barbarie de Eden Abergil”, con cerca de un millar.
Ha desaparecido de Facebook un grupo existente hace un par de días que se llamaba “Eden Abergil sucks (da asco, en inglés)” .
La exhibición de las fotos de la ex soldado, que acabó hace un año su servicio militar, fueron duramente criticadas por el Ejército israelí que, según informó ella misma, ha tomado la decisión de degradarla y no llamarla a servir en la reserva.
Los militares aseguran que este comportamiento es un caso aislado y que “no representa los valores del Ejército de Israel” .
Sin embargo, la ONG israelí “Shovrim Shtiká” (Rompiendo el Silencio) , integrada por soldados israelíes en activo y retirados, difundió el martes una decena de fotografías de otros militares retratándose con detenidos o muertos palestinos para subrayar que no se trata de una excepción, sino de algo común entre quienes sirven en los territorios palestinos.
